the Herban Paradise garden

garden viewMy husband and I are on a journey to sustainable living, and are working to transform our backyard garden into a thriving micro-farm.

On a busy main road, just 2/3 mile from the center of a bustling college town affectionately nicknamed "Paradise City", on a small city lot, is our Herban Paradise.

We're growing herbs, vegetables, mushrooms, flowers, and a little fruit. I stated my herb garden 10 years ago, and use the herbs I grow for food and medicine, as well as to make bodycare and soaps.

about Sheri, the formulator

I became interested in herbs over fifteen years ago, around the same time I started formulating my simpler, greener living plan. I garden and study herbalism and aromatherapy (the healing actions of aromatics on our bodies and emotions) as well as the energetic and elemental aspects of herbs in Plant Spirit Medicine.

Sensitive to colors, aromas, and textures, I delight in the ever-changing garden and let it inspire my handcrafts. You can follow my garden and crafting adventures on my blog, and on my monthly newsletter.

The newsletter also features herbal tips and D.I.Y. bodycare recipes, plus news about store specials and new products. You can get the newsletter emailed to you by signing up here.

You can also find me on Facebook and Twitter, sharing herbal information and garden stories.
